The PKN offers opportunities for qualified and selected medical doctors of all specialties to create their own private practice.
This process works via offering highly qualified physicians the opportunity to become a member of the Association of the Polyclinic at Národní. We are particularly interested in physicians in the fields of pediatrics, internal medicine and allergology.
The PKN is the oldest private health center of its kind in the Czech Republic. It was founded 18 years ago to create a workplace in which the best professionals operate, and which offers a unique model for cooperation and the provision of health care.
The business structure of PKN is unique. On the one hand, it offers the chance to join a top team of doctors and other established administrative staff with its own infrastructure, including publicity and current affairs network which the new doctor can immediately use. It is important to note that the PKN does not employ physicians, but rather offers them a base for for their work, with each physician keeping what they earn. Most of all, the PKN also creates an “esprit de corps", which in our health system is unfortunately rare.
The requirements for consideration to possible membership in the Association are: Board certification in the area of specialty and meeting conditions to practice unsupervised in private practice, proven experience and professional approach to patient care, first-hand experience in international medicine, and admitting privileges to a local community or teaching hospital to ensure continuity of care.
